Thermal cycling test for automotive drive converters

Testing of power converters for automotive applications increasingly includes testing under low temperatures from -40°C to high temperatures of about 110°C. The realised test consists of a run-in run with high phase currents at the different temperatures. In addition to the circulating air temperature control, a cooling liquid temperature control is also implemented. The test stand can test 2 DUTs simultaneously and can be switched between high-voltage and low-voltage (48V) applications. The test item-specific part fixtures are interchangeable. The temperature cycle test is usually carried out during series production.

The baumann power|box is the flexible platform for test engineering applications in power electronics. When used for testing assemblies and control units, it reliably meets the demand for quality assurance and zero-defect strategy in production. The power testing technology from Löhnert Elektronik is designed and built according to customer-specific test specifications. The basic tests on an inverter assembly include simple metrological tasks and power tests on the main circuit of the DC source via the three-phase bridge to the AC circuit.

HVPC test station

The Löhnert Elektronik HVPC test stand (high voltage power cycling) is used for load measurement of power semiconductors. The tests can be done using high currents or high voltages. Thyristors, IGBTs and FETs as well as diodes can be tested.

Zth test station

The Löhnert Elektronik Zth test station is used to measure temporary thermal resistances on power modules via an adapter system, which is docked by means of a VPC interface.
